PHAGS

PHAGS is an art collective based in Rochester, NY. Its founders, Nathan Cobbs, Jacob Hall, Abigail Johnson, and Erika Schneible, aim to explore their observations and creative perspectives within the context of queerness—queerness which functions simultaneously as a continuous internal journey with the self, and an external force which influences aesthetics, social habits, and the formation of deep, familial bonds within vibrant communities. These phags are looking to share their experiences with young queer adulthood, which includes both the tumultuous rises and falls of self-actualization, and the humor which results from time well-spent with people who care. PHAGS is a community and a commitment to authenticity, friendship, and creativity as uniting, essential forces.
